The following data is a comprehensive overview of the efficiency and insulating properties of Thermal View Plus, a product of Total Shade Inc.
The testing was conducted with three individual sq. ft. cubes where one cube was treated with Thermal View Plus, the second was treated with a conventional window shade design where the treatment hangs approximately 2-3 inches ofrom the glass, and the third was untreated and maintained as a control. All of these messures were used to test the efficiency and energy saving potential of each of the tested products.
To further explore the results, ambient air values were included. As you can see from the data, the insulating properties of Thermal View Plus are quite impressive when compared to both the conventional and untreated window boxes. Keep in mind that these results were achieved in just 1 Sq. Ft, yet they can be expanded or multiplied over the span of an entire building. The results of this experiment are completly scaleable.
The tests were preformed in real time weather conditions and on the associated dates.
In closing:
Total Shade insulating window shade systems will maintain cooler in-house air temperatures than that provided by untreated and conventionally treated windows; furthermore, Total Shade insulating window treatment systems can offer energy savings of up to 40%. Just imagine the resulting efficiency and energy savings within a 50 story building.
